Introduction

This list was started up in the summer of 2000 in response to the large number of people posting things for sale on various mailing lists. There did not seem to be a list devoted to buying/selling/trading anime or manga stuffs which led to the birth of this list.

How to subscribe/unsubscribe/post

To subscribe, either send an e-mail to animemangasales-subscribe@egroups.com or simply add your e-mail address into the nice little box at the bottom.

Unsubscribing is almost as easy. Send an e-mail to animemangasales-unsubscribe@egroups.com.

To send a message to the list, e-mail animemangasales@egroups.com

This information is conveniently placed at the end of every e-mail that one receives from the list.

List rules

List Rules

1. This list is an ~announcement~ list only and is not for discussion. Requests for items may be posted, but should be answered PRIVATELY.
2. On topic material for this list includes the posting of URLs containing products that are trying to be sold, E-bay auctions (or any other auction), lists of items for sale, etc. Businesses are kindly requested not to abuse this list, but are still encouraged to post.
   a) When posting a list of items (no auction), I have no objections if you repost the list on a monthly basis (in case new people join). I'm trying to keep a balance between the seller's goal to sell their things as well as preventing members from getting annoyed from seeing the same post over and over again. This addendum will likely be modified depending on the reaction. Comments on this point are encouraged (privately)
3. On posting lists of items: use common sense when doing so; remember, larger is not better.
4. The maximum message size is 20 KB. After that, please post a URL. If you are unable to do so, please contact me scongly@softhome.net and I'll try and help out. NO attachments.
5. On listings of auctions: Very important, please try to refrain from sending a huge list of items and auction URLs. Use rule 4 as a guideline to your actions.
6. Auction notification: You may have one initial post to introduce the auction and one warning post when 24 hours is remaining in the auction. Please do not abuse this priviledge.
7. Fansubs shall _NOT_ be sold nor traded using this list. Automatic removal and banning will occur if someone breaks this rule.
8. Adult material for sale should be marked as such.
9. Son May and Ever Anime products are not to be mentioned on list as they are obvious bootlegs.
10. Fan-derivative works (that is fan-fiction, fan-art and any fan-thing that I haven't mentioned) are not appropriate to sell on this list (due to copyright issues).
11. Caveat emptor.
12. Above all, have fun and enjoy yourself. ^_^
