Introduction

Currently, there are three main mailing lists for Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon. They are the Indiana list, the Ganymede list and the Pretty-Soldier list. There are several other minor mailing lists; many of these are mailing lists which exchange files. These are listed in the Anime Turnpike page as listed in Sources Cited. As would be expected, any new major mailing list will be added to this page as it appears.

The mailing lists feature many different things; mostly much information on Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon. There are also many discussions regarding the series and characters. There are two topics the newbie is advised to avoid for a while; the infamous "Which character is better" and the "Original vs. Dub" debates.

Before beginning, a small note on mailing list etiquette. When first joining, it is a good idea to just read the e-mail for a little while before posting (lurking). This enables you to see the style of the mailing list and helps one to avoid making a bad first impression

Secondly, save the welcome message. It tells you all the pertinant information about the list such as how to unsubscribe. Nonetheless, this information is repeated below:

To unsubscribe, send an e-mail to majordomo@indiana.edu with no subject and the following body: unsubscribe sailor-moon.

This list features many helpful and interesting people; it goes off topic often but nonetheless, it provides much information about Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon, anime and manga and Japanese culture in general.

This is an unmoderated mailing list; the administrator is Iskandar Taib (ntaib@jalpeno.ucs.indiana.edu). Before joining, it might be in one's best interest to examine the Indiana miscellanea explaining many of the running jokes on the list.

Ganymede List

To subscribe to this list, e-mail the moderator requesting to subscribe.

To unsubscribe from this list, e-mail the moderator requesting to unsubscribe.

This list consists of members who were originally on the Taronga list. This is the only list to be moderated. As well, all list members must be approved by the moderator. This is a very low traffic mailing list. For all intents and purposes, it is dead.

Pretty-Soldier List

The list has changed servers. Information about subscribing and unsubscribing will be added soon.

This list has more of the younger people on it; tempers sometimes flare during some of the debates.

This list is unmoderated; adminstrators are Tenchi Masaki (g-t@email.msn.com) and Ryoko Masaki (kino_makato@email.msn.com).
