Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Super S Episode 129

Episode title
Super Henshin Futatabi! Pegasus no Power
[Super Transformation! It happens again by the power of Pegasus]

Translation by Valarianus Lam (lamv@spots.ab.ca)
Organized into synopsis by Meredith (rothana@aol.com)

[OP-"Moonlight Densetsu"]

In the circus tent the strange creatures are talking to each other. They say that they heard TigersEye failed and let the Pegasus fly away, and also failed to kill the beautiful dreamer. A silly balloon-like creature hopes that Zirconia won't get mad.

Zirconia demands quiet and the creatures all slide down into darkness on their pillars leaving the Amazon Trio. Zirconia says that catching Pegasus is their first step in controlling the world; they must find those with beautiful dreams where he can hide, and catch him. The Trio does their cool bows.

[title screen]

The Amazon Trio is in their bar. TigersEye is upset because everyone blames him for the failure; it was the sailor soldiers' fault. Hawk's Eye says that the reason he failed is because he brought personal interest into the job. FishEye agrees, then shows them all a saddle that she found in the corner of the tent. He says he will ride Pegasus with it when they catch him. TigersEye thinks it sounds like fun.

HawksEye points out a picture of Reika and her horse. TigersEye thinks that she's a great idea for the next target, but FishEye just gets upset.

Usagi and company are at the site where the first attack occurred. Usagi asks Chibi-Usa if she's sure she doesn't know what happened. Chibi-Usa remembers the part of her dream where Pegasus asked her not to tell anyone. She claims to know nothing.

Chibi-Usa thinks of him again and wonders if she can see him again. Just then she hears a horse whinny. Thinking it is Pegasus, she runs towards the sound. When she arrives at the edge of a jumping arena she realizes that it was just Reika's horse. Reika is on horseback heading for a big jump. At the last minute the horse shies and Reika is thrown.

Usagi and company are very surprised to see Reika back from Africa. Chibi-Usa is confused, so they explain that Reika is Motoki's girlfriend. Usagi says that they should go see her now.

Inside Reika tells them that her horse can tell when she's worried or depressed and reacts to it. Usagi asks what she's worried about. Reika explains that she has been accepted to continue European studies, but this time it will take ten years. Usagi and Makoto are very surprised and ask if Motoki knows. She says that he just smiled and said, "That's great," but hasn't seen her since she visited. She says that perhaps he doesn't love her anymore.

There is a long moment of silence. Then both Minako and Usagi jump up (holding struggling cats) and say that they'll help by asking him what he's really thinking of. They'll take care of everything. What follows is a regular "Minako and Usagi are out of hand again to everyone's dismay" scenes. It think it's very funny. ^_^

Next we see Minako and Usagi in a booth at the Crown opposite Motoki. They tell him that Reika is wondering which way to go. He says rather coldly that he won't see her and it's her choice to go to Europe. Then he says that he must get back to work.

They both look after him suspiciously and the cats say they should stop being so nosy (and are strangled again). Then they get an odd look on their faces. From another table where Mako, Ami, and Rei are sitting, Ami says that they should think about the new enemies.

Usagi asks if Ami's not worried about Motoki and Reika. Makoto says that she wonders if he doesn't like her anymore. Then Motoki's sister (Unazuki?) delivers Usagi's order and tells them that although he's being stubborn, he seems to be having a hard time. Of course he is, Usagi says, "No couple can take it easy when separated." Unazuki asks if there's something wrong between her and Mamoru.

Usagi gets very upset and says that, actually, there is. Rei says that all she'll say is that Usagi doesn't know where Mamoru's gone since yesterday. Ami is very surprised that Rei knew, but then it turns out that Usagi had been on the phone with each of them about it. Luna asks how she can know how Motoki feels when she gets upset by being separated for only one day. Usagi says that it's because she was so lonely.

At the stable Chibi-Usa is feeding a carrot to Reika's horse. Chibi-Usa tells Reika how beautiful the horses eyes are. Reika agrees and says that no one can tell a lie to an animal; they easily find the problems in our minds. Chibi-Usa thinks of Pegasus and asks Reika about a horse with a horn and wings. (demonstrating with the carrot.) Reika says that it is a creature of dreams, and that Chibi-Usa can see those creatures because she has beautiful dreams. Chibi-Usa says that Reika also has beautiful dreams, but Reika wonders out-loud if they are so beautiful if they make her beloved anxious.

At the Tsukino house Usagi is on the phone. She suggests going to see how Motoki is feeling tomorrow. Chibi-Usa is staring out the window of her attic room. She asks Luna what will become of Reika and Motoki. Luna says that ten years is a long time and Motoki might give up. Usagi's phone conversation drifts up, "about Mamoru? Mamoru never called me yet." Chibi-Usa wonders about the longevity of a separated couple.

Back in Usagi's room she finally gets off the phone. The phone rings again and Usagi is surprised to hear that it is Mamoru. She asks why he didn't call her. Apparently (according to Mamoru's account, which I'm more apt to believe than Usagi's) he has called many times but her phone was always busy. He tells her that he had said he was going out to do some work in his workshop at the university. All through the conversation Mamoru is in what looks like a bathrobe or unbuttoned shirt, typing away at a laptop while he talks. (I sure could have used one of those for this endeavor.) When asked, Usagi says that she's sure they'll finish up with the problem of the new enemies by tomorrow. (Mamoru assumes that that's what they've been talking about on the phone, I suppose.) Usagi goes to sleep happy, holding the phone.

Up in her room, Chibi-Usa has decided that love can work long distance since she still loves her parents although she lives far away from home. We see a picture of Chibi-Usa in between Neo-Queen Serenity and King Endymion. She thinks they love her quite a lot for letting her come here to study.

[Commercial Break]

Reika tries the same jump again and fails. When she looks up from comforting her horse, she sees TigersEye on horseback (if anyone cares, he's all dressed up for English style riding, like Reika. Heck, he doesn't look bad) He compares her to Venus. (The goddess, not the Sailor).

Chibi-Usa enters the park (is it a park?) with Luna wondering what Reika is doing. Reika walks by with TigersEye and Chibi-Usa decides to go for a closer look.

Talking with TigersEye on a hillside, Reika admits that the harder she tries to practice, the less she can concentrate. TigersEye asks if there's anything that he can do to help. He says that he can see a big problem in her beautiful eyes. Reika just stares at him with a rather smitten expression. He says (to himself) that girls love it when guys notice their problems and try to help. Now her mind is his.

Chibi-Usa is watching from the bushes despite Luna's protests. Luna finally decides that she must have learned this from Usagi.

When TigersEye asks if she's going abroad Reika replies that she's not yet decided whether to go after her dream or her love. He takes her hand and asks her what kind of dream she had in mind. He tells her to let him see it. (he's getting a little creepy now) At this point (a bit later) Reika figures out that she needs to get out of there. As she runs, TigersEye snaps his fingers causing a vine to materialize and grab her ankle. "Who are you?" innocent Reika asks. She is then shocked as he reverts to his normal state. (I like him better in the riding clothes)

One, the board; two, the cuffs; three, the mirror. (saying it along with him is fun!!!)

In the bushes Chibi-Usa transforms at Luna's cue.

And a back-lit Chibi-Moon appears!!! (Stop right there! How unfair. Taking advantage of a dreaming girl's weak spot, handsome man. love, justice, blah, blah)

(Why does TigersEye call her a pumpkin?) TigersEye calls forth Kyokuba Danko-chan, a trainer of fierce animals.

Danko attacks with a really long whip. While Chibi-Moon is being whipped at, TigersEye looks or Pegasus in Reika's dream mirror. (surprise surprise) He doesn't find Pegasus. Reika passes out. He orders Danko to kill both, so Pegasus won't appear in Reika's dreams in the future. (and we know why he wants Chibi-Moon dead.)

Sailor Moon arrives. In the middle of her speech the rest of the Inner Senshi also arrive. Sailor Moon is surprised to see them. They begin to chat about why the Senshi thought to come there. TigersEye says he hates girl's talk, especially when it's not about him. He orders Danko-chan to attack. Sailor Mars does her Burning Mandala attack, but Danko catches the rings on her whip and flings them back at the Senshi. Danko kicks Chibi-Moon over to the others and announces a waltz competition. She gets them all running in a circle by whacking them with the whip. (they're all running around, even the cats because the whip seems to be striking at kitty level.) Chibi-Moon calls for help from Pegasus.

Something resembling the Northern Lights occurs and Pegasus appears in the sky. A light beam shoots down at Chibi-Moon and Sailor Moon and causes them to spontaneously turn into super Sailor Senshi. The others look on in awe. Sailor Moon gets a new wand with which she does an attack similar to Moon Gorgeous Meditation, but isn't quite the same. She doesn't say it for one thing. the effect, though, is the same. Danko screams, "stage out," shatters, then her shadow disappears. TigersEye gets upset and leaps through a flaming ring. Reika's restraints vanish.

Pegasus flies away, and everyone stares after him. Chibi-Moon and Sailor Moon lose the super transformations and the wands.

Back at the Crown, after Mamoru says he should, Motoki explains himself. He wants Reika to decide by herself and not be influenced by him, he can wait.

Unazuki says she's relieved to hear about that, and Reika pops out from behind the counter and says that she thought he wasn't seeing her because of her selfish attitudes. He runs to her, grabs her shoulders and tells her she's a special lady and he'll always love her. He tells her to go to Europe and study for her dream.

Everyone's happy. Chibi-Usa wraps it up by saying that love is not so weak to be disturbed by the geographical differences.

We see Reika make it over the jump. (A REALLY HIGH jump. Looks like fun ^_^) Then we see a plane flying away, then Reika and Motoki staring at each other.

[ED--"'Rashiku' Ikimasho"] (baby baby love! do you realize how long this is? I'll tell you how long. Five pages front and back!! I don't write very big, either. I still have to write the summary for 131, too!)
