Episode title
Mini ga Daisuki! Oshare na Senshi Tachi
-Summary by Emily Thurston (ethurston1@weber.edu)
-Additional information provided by Tolaris (tolaris@geocities.com)
[Note: The "additional information"--mostly on dialogue--is from the Polish version of Sailor Moon, so it might not be totally exact. The Polish translation, however, does seem to be excellent.]

[OP--"Moonlight Densetsu"]

The five girls and Chibi-Usa are at a fashion show in the park, commenting on the outfits (and the fashion designer, who appears to be very famous).

[title screen]

The six girls continue to stare as the designer (a guy with wavy brown hair) comes on stage, and they go even more nuts when a woman comes out wearing another of his creations, a wedding dress. The two bow to the applauding crowd, then leave.

Meanwhile, at their bar in the Dead Moon Circus tent, HawksEye and TigersEye pour over photographs of potential Dream Mirror victims while FishEye tries on what appears to be a one-piece bathing suit (which, coincidentally, was also created by the designer from before).

The other two pick up a picture of the designer, and FishEye eagerly takes it (calling him "kawaii") and runs off to find and attack him.

Chibi-Usa is in her room drawing a picture of a bride in a wedding dress when the Pegasus appears in the globe on her desk and looks down at the picture, asking her who the bridegroom will be. Chibi-Usa realizes she doesn't know--she hadn't thought about it. The Pegasus tells her to be patient and she'll meet the right man someday, and she agrees.

The designer is in his studio, feeling depressed--he fears he's lost his inspiration. A dark-haired male assistant walks by and tries to comfort him by saying he has plenty of time to prepare for his next show. Unfortunately, this is the wrong thing to say, as his boss is not in the mood to think about the next show right now. The designer angrily snaps a reply, then immediately apologizes.

Later, sitting in a mall (and still feeling depressed), the designer sees FishEye walk by. He is captivated and rushes over to beg the Amazon to come model for him. (Obviously, this is exactly what FishEye wants.) Next, we see FishEye in the studio, being measured for an outfit, and then fitted with one. The tailor pokes him with a needle, prompting an angry outburst from the Amazon.

The assistant from before sees FishEye chewing out the tailor and comes over to apologize in an attempt to patch things up. In response, the Amazon whips off the outfit, demanding that it be altered as he proposes. The assistant says that's impossible. The confrontation between the two is cut off by the return of the designer with a set of drawings. FishEye eagerly rushes over to look at them, then takes a pencil from the designer's pocket and begins making alterations.

The assistant angrily pushes FishEye away from the drawings, telling him not to interfere with their work, but the Amazon goes into a huff, demanding that the designer choose between them, and the designer hastens to mollify him. The assistant makes his boss' decision easier for by quitting. FishEye wins this round.

At a fashion store in the mall, Usagi happily looks through racks of clothes (all created by our designer) while Mamoru and a saleswoman look on. The saleswoman wishes Usagi would buy something, or at least refrain from commenting so loudly on every item. Eventually, Mamoru buys her a blouse, and looks a little despondently into his empty wallet--although he is quickly cheered up by her happiness.

Back in the studio, FishEye and the designer are looking over a series of drawings. They both seem satisfied by what they see. The designer thanks FishEye for his help, and the Amazon tells the designer that he would be nothing without him.

[commercial break]

We see a line of mannequins wearing the outfits from the drawings, then the designer's staff bowing in unison and leaving (quitting, it seems). The designer--who has FishEye hanging all over him--is distressed by this, and goes out to stand on a swing in the park and mutter angrily about how no one understands him.

While he's doing this, Usagi wanders by, spots him, and gets stars in her eyes. She eagerly walks up and introduces herself, saying that she liked his latest show. She then looks around to make sure no one is eavesdropping on them, and confesses that she would love to have the designer create a wedding dress for her. The designer seems to find this funny, but Usagi looks indignant.

They sit down on a bench together to continue talking; Usagi mentions the blouse Mamoru bought her, and reveals, in answer to his question, that Mamoru is the man she's going to marry. The designer says he couldn't design her dress even if he wanted to, since he's lost his inspiration. She replies that designing this dress could help him get it back; he laughs at her persistence, but admits that she's right. He's been getting too caught up in the commercial side of designing, and forgotten what it's like to create clothes just to make people happy. He thanks Usagi, invites her to visit his studio, and leaves.

Later, Usagi is taking a bath and talking to Chibi-Usa (who is across the room, washing her hair). She boasts that she met the famous designer, and he promised to design a wedding dress for her. Chibi-Usa doesn't believe her, but Usagi tells her to ask the designer himself for confirmation.

That night, the designer is back in his studio, having taken all the outfits off the racks and thrown them on the floor in a heap--he can't believe all those silly things are his creations. FishEye shows up, and the designer tells him to leave and never come back; their brief partnership is dissolved. FishEye responds by changing into his Amazon clothes, to the designer's shock.

FishEye counts, "One, two, three", causing a board to appear and strap itself to the designer, and then extracting his Dream Mirror. Outside, Usagi and Chibi-Usa hear his screams and immediately transform.

FishEye has finished checking the designer's Mirror (no Pegasus, of course). Sailors Moon and Chibi-Moon show up and go through the intro. speech. FishEye, unimpressed, asks them if they have no shame, going around in miniskirts like that. The two Senshi consult for a minute ("Psst! Are you ashamed?" "Me? No... and you?" "Me? Err... of course not!"), then Sailor Moon says that they like their outfits. :)

FishEye calls up what appears to be a seal with a ball on its nose, but then, to the astonishment of the Senshi, a face appears on the ball. The ball says it's going to take revenge for the death of its sister (the rubber ball lemure killed by the Senshi in ep. 132). As FishEye leaves (taking the seal with him), the ball-lemure launches itself at the two Senshi.

Sailor Moon easily catches the lemure before it can hit them, but it wrenches free and begins rapidly bouncing around the room, finally smashing the two Senshi against the wall. It backs off for a moment, laughing triumphantly. Suddenly, Tuxedo Kamen's intro. music begins, and the lemure looks around curiously, as though hearing it (IMO, it's moments like this that really make SS worth watching :)). As it turns to one side, a rose stem strikes it from behind, deflating it. Tuxedo Kamen makes his speech from behind a mannequin, as the two Senshi pick themselves up.

The ball-lemure isn't finished yet, though; it warps itself briefly into a human shape, then back into a spherical one, and starts bouncing around again. Tuxedo Kamen deflects it into a skylight, then yells at Chibi-Moon. The latter goes into her Twinkle Yell, and Sailor Moon destroys the lemure with Moon Gorgeous Meditation. Sailor Moon revives the designer, who stares as Tuxedo Kamen and the two Moons leave, hand in hand.

At the next fashion show, Rei, Ami, Makoto, and Minako gape (and Usagi and Chibi-Usa smirk at each other) as the designer unveils his latest creation--which bears a striking resemblance to a Sailor fuku. In addition, the woman wearing the wedding dress has a hairstyle strongly reminiscent of Usagi's. Usagi yells that that's the dress for her, and the other girls demand to know what makes her say that; all of them wind up in an argument of some kind. Backstage, the designer smiles at his handiwork.
