[OP--"Moonlight Densetsu"]
On a rainy night, a truck drives through Tokyo. Suddenly, the shape of a winged horse swoops in front of the vehicle, causing the driver to swerve in panic; the truck winds up crashed on its side, burning. The winged horse stands impassively to one side, its eyes glowing evilly.

Chibi-Usa and three of her friends from school (including Momo-chan, from ep. 81 in the R series) are watching a school soccer game from what appears to be the announcer's booth. They particularly notice a boy with shoulder-length blonde hair, who seems to be the star of the team.
As the foursome leave the school, they are met by the soccer player they saw before. He calls Chibi-Usa "kawaii", then says something else that seems to shock the four of them. Chibi-Usa stares. The boy talks for a few moments more, then runs off, waving back at them. The two girls with Chibi-Usa immediately begin teasing and elbowing Chibi-Usa (who blushes), while the fourth member of their group, a boy, walks off nonchalantly.
Later, Chibi-Usa talks to the Pegasus in her room; she looks more depressed than usual. Downstairs, Usagi's search for a snack is interrupted by a TV news story about the previous night's Pegasus-related crash. Usagi stares at the TV for a few moments, then rushes off, apparently to tell someone about it (and, from what happens later, the someone is the other Senshi).
At the Dead Moon Circus' bar, FishEye joins TigersEye and HawksEye. The other two taunt him about something, mentioning the Senshi, and he responds indignantly. He then picks up a photograph of the soccer player from before; the other two seem unpleasantly surprised by this choice, but FishEye, happily rubbing his face against the photo, is quite satisfied. He runs off enthusiastically, while TigerSEye and HawksEye wearily rest their heads on the bar.
At the Crown Fruit Parlor, Ami, Minako, Rei, and Makoto grimly pass around a printed story about the accident, but Usagi seems more concerned with cleaning the four plates in front of her. Chibi-Usa comes running up to their booth. They move over to make room for her, then Mako, Minako, Rei, and Usagi each say something to her. Whatever, Usagi's comment is, the others don't take it too well; she and Rei wind up (literally) at each other's throats over it.
Chibi-Usa breaks up the fight with a yell, then says something else that elicits a concerned reaction from the others; they all talk for a minute.
By the end of the conversation, Chibi-Usa has cheered up enough to make a grab for some of Usagi's food, a move which immediately starts another fight.
The pink-haired girl suddenly spies the newsstory sitting on the table, lets go of her side of the plate over which she and Usagi had been fighting (causing Usagi to fall backward and crash into something off screen :)). She seems very distressed by the story, and says something with a determined look on her face (perhaps it's that the Pegasus would never do anything like _that_). The other girls seem uncomfortable about it, as well, but can't think of anything to say to comfort her.
The soccer player from before is hanging around the soccer field when he is met by FishEye, in (feminine-looking) civilian dress. FishEye speaks charmingly to the boy, who seems almost transfixed by "her".
Chibi-Usa walks down the street, with Usagi sneaking along behind. Chibi-Usa knows she's there, and turns to yell at the apparently deserted street until Usagi comes out from behind a nearby lamppost to fight back. As the two argue, we see that the other Senshi are hiding farther back, around a corner. Ami, of course, is uncomfortable with their spying, but the others rebuke her.
Back at the soccer field, FishEye is chattering happily away to the soccer player, who now seems bored and starts to walk away. The Amazon does not appreciate this attitude; he immediately changes back to Circus form, calls up a board (which straps the boy down on the count of three), and extracts his Dream Mirror.
[commercial break]
As they approach the school grounds, Usagi and Chibi-Usa hear the soccer player's screams and transform. As FishEye concludes that the boy's Dream Mirror contains no Pegasus, Sailors Moon and Chibi-Moon make their customary speech from on top of a nearby jungle gym. They aim a pair of flying kicks at the Amazon, but he merely steps aside, causing them to crash unceremoniously to the ground.
FishEye calls up a lemure which at first looks like the Pegasus, but soon is revealed to be a VERY strange-looking half-man, half-horse creature. (Presumably, this is the Pegasus-like creature responsible for the previous night's accident.) Chibi-Moon does her Twinkle Yell; however, as soon as the Pegasus appears overhead, the lemure uses a bunch of rotating horse statues the pop out of the ground to create a dome-shaped field of energy around himself, FishEye, and the two Senshi. This effectively cuts off the two Moons from the Pegasus' help. FishEye smiles maliciously and holds up a handful of throwing knives.
The other Senshi have now arrived on the scene. Jupiter and Mars fire off their attacks, which are swallowed up by the barrier. Inside it, FishEye throws his knives--all of which miss the Senshi completely. FishEye yells at them in frustration, and they angrily yell back.
The four Inner Senshi throw themselves at the barrier, but merely bounce off (though not before getting a nasty electrical shock). Suddenly, the Pegasus appears before them, and they talk with him for a minute, in desperate-sounding tones.
The Pegasus turns around and charges horn-first at the barrier, but is thrown back with a crackle of electricity; the same happens to Chibi-Moon as she tries to penetrate the barrier from the inside. The Senshi stare helplessly as the two try to reach each other.
FishEye now has a fencing sword, and seems to be preparing to attack again. The Pegasus charges twice more, but is repelled both times. Chibi-Moon holds an anxious conversation with him through the barrier.
Finally, the Pegasus rises into the air; his horn flashes, and the Senshi stare as their transformation wands change (becoming spherical instead of star-shaped, among other things). Their uniforms change, as well; the rear bows lengthen, the sleeves become transparent (like Sailor Moon's), and the chokers acquire stars in the center. (Mercury is suddenly wearing three earrings in each ear...)
The four powered-up Senshi simultaneously throw their attacks (the same old R series ones, but without the stock footage) at the barrier, shattering it. Sailor Moon, who now once again has access to the Pegasus' power, uses Moon Gorgeous Meditation to destroy the strange man-horse lemure. FishEye makes a worried-sounding comment and leaves through his little portal. After exchanging a few words with Chibi-Moon, the Pegasus flies off.
Later, Chibi-Usa sits despondently on a swing in the park, talking with the soccer player before. The other five girls are hiding in the bushes nearby, spying again.
Everyone's attention (except that of the two kids) suddenly shifts to Usagi, who, according to what appears to be an electronic planner of some kind, is late for a date with Mamoru. (We see a brief picture of Mamoru, who is waiting to in front of a movie theater, looking at his watch.) The "camera" pans up to the night sky as we hear the usual friendly arguing among the girls.
