At the Dead Moon Circus, Zirconia summons the Amazoness Quartet. PallaPalla, VesVes, and CereCere arrive, and they're busy fooling around (PallaPalla's really cute, BTW!). An impatient Zirconia yells at them, then hands them the picture of the new target. PallaPalla opts for JunJun (who was bored and went out to play) to get the target this time, since the rest of the Quartet are playing hide and seek. The photo drops to the floor, and Kyusuke is shown as the new target.

At Chibi-Usa's school, everyone is busy preparing for the big athletic meet that starts the next day. JunJun, who is wearing a really cute outfit (with a black leather jacket!), watches from the school roof. Kyusuke is sitting on a platform high above the ground, helping with the preparations. He notices Chibi-Usa walking home and calls to her, but she doesn't hear him.

The girls and Mamoru walk up to a depressed Chibi-Usa. The girls talk excitedly about the athletic meet, while Chibi-Usa just sulks. Kyusuke, who is still trying to get Chibi-Usa's attention, uses a rope to swing off the platform he's on. Kyusuke flips a few times, then lands perfectly, in front of the girls.
Chibi-Usa says she is sad because she is not good at jumping box horses, and there are box horses in the hurdle race for tomorrow. Kyusuke gets nervous when Chibi-Usa talks about the box horse. Chibi-Usa asks Mamoru to teach her how to jump the box horse, but Usagi won't allow it. She and Chibi-Usa argue, but the other girls agree to help Chibi-Usa with the box horse. The girls and Mamoru walk away, leaving a ruffled Kyusuke to himself.
At the school, Kyusuke assembles the box horse. JunJun watches him from the school roof. In a flashback, Chibi-Kyusuke (who has brown hair instead of green, for some odd reason) prepares to jump the box horse, but he slips and crashes into the box horse. The flashback ends.
Kyusuke: From that time on, I've been bad only at the box horse...
Kyusuke thinks about what his friends and schoolmates will say if they learn he can't jump the box horse. He is determined to jump the box horse and dashes towards it, but he stops running right when he gets to the box horse. JunJun appears and offers to coach Kyusuke.
At Juuban Park, the girls and Mamoru are assembled to teach Chibi-Usa how to jump the box horse. An exasperated Usagi is the box horse (she's leaning over ^_^). Chibi-Usa runs up to Usagi and prepares to jump, but Usagi straightens up at the last minute, and Chibi-Usa runs into her.
At the school, Kyusuke falls as another attempt to jump the box horse fails. JunJun tells him that he always slows down just before jumping, and that he shouldn't do that. The sun is setting, so JunJun says she'll return early the next morning and teach Kyusuke how to jump the box horse.
In Chibi-Usa's bedroom, Pegasus appears before Chibi-Usa (Chibi-Usa has lots of Band-Aids all over her face ^_^).
Chibi-Usa: I can't jump over the box horse. I envy you,
Pegasus! You can fly freely as you like...
Pegasus: I wish I could fly freely...
Chibi-Usa: What?
Pegasus: N... Nothing... In fact, you can fly more freely than
me!
Chibi-Usa: What? I can't even jump over a box horse,
though...
Pegasus: Yes, you can! You can do it!
Usagi calls Chibi-Usa from downstairs to wake up early tomorrow, because the girls will continue to train Chibi-Usa.
Very early the next morning, Kyusuke is at the school, and he tries to jump the box horse. JunJun appears with the target's picture in her hands, and says that Kyusuke is the target. She has a way to quickly get Kyusuke to jump the box horse.
JunJun: If there is something scarier, you'll forget about that fear of jumping!
JunJun produces a cage which turns the area between Kyusuke and the box horse into a long corridor. JunJun then makes a *huge* bear, which chases Kyusuke. Kyusuke, with nowhere to run except to the box horse, runs very quickly and finally jumps over the box horse. When he turns back, the bear is gone. JunJun changes to Amazoness garb, shoots her Amazon ball, and punches out Kyusuke's Dream Mirror. It is not the Golden Mirror.
The girls have arrived at the school, and they transform. JunJun produces a Lemure, Tobikiri-yaro. It has a joker face, a strange bear head for a stomach, and gliding wings like those of a flying squirrel. The Lemure eats Kyusuke's Dream Mirror. Mars is about to attack with her Flame Sniper, but Tobikiri flies past her, and Mars is fried by her own attack. The others keep low to the ground, because Tobikiri is diving at them. They can't attack. Sailor Chibi-Moon then gets up and runs at Tobikiri, then jumps flawlessly over him like she would on a box horse. Tobikiri is pushed down and crashes to the ground. Chibi-Moon calls Pegasus, and Sailor Moon destroys the Lemure. The Dream Mirror returns to Kyusuke's body, and JunJun leaves.
During the athletic meet, Chibi-Usa jumps perfectly over the box horse and finishes the hurdle race in first place. The race which Kyusuke is in then starts, and Kyusuke (who is *way* in the lead) jumps perfectly over the box horse, too.
Chibi-Usa: Way to go, Kyusuke! Number One!!
